The Spanish Olympic Sailing Team starred in several television reportages

Promoting the sport of sailing as the primary objective of the TV format

The Royal Spanish Sailing Federation and Panorama Productions promoters of the initiative

Thursday, March 13, 2014.- The Spanish Sailing Olympic Team will be starring in the coming weeks in the filming several reportages for the small screen, an action promoted by the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation and Panorama Productions whose main objective is the promotion of the sport of sailing.

The Spanish Sailing Olympic Team, configured this year in a new Olympic cycle by its Director of preparation, Toni Ripoll, will present on these reportages each of the 10 classes that comprise it, nine as the team base, and the tenth incorporated into the "Woman and Sports" Project of the Sports Council and the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation.

Their members by class and category, both male and female, will show the daily life of a competitor in their hard task of preparing for the Olympic Games in Rio 2016, as well as their respective coaches and multidisciplinary team. The technical configuration of each of its boats, and their human side, will be the basis of each chapter, having as the first goal the world championship of  Olympic classes of Santander 2014, to be held in the Cantabrian town in September.

The reportages will be broadcasted through TVE, Sportmanía and Digital Plus as well as an extensive network of regional and local television channels, including channels from other European and American networks. It will also be carried out widely through specialized Web portals, both national and international, an action that has already attracted interest from several personal sponsors of the Spanish Olympic Team members.

The First of the recordings is scheduled this week, coinciding with the Finn class training in Valencia, formed by the Catalan Alejandro Muscat (Dr. Sails-Harhen) of the El Garraf Nautic Club, Pablo Guitián (City Council Cádiz-FAV-Taboga-Vasconia) of the Elcano Nautic Club, under the orders of his coach, the Italian Luca Devoti. The work plan includes the different sessions of technical advice, strategies, fitness and navigating a race course.

These actions to promote the sport of sailing are part of the agreement signed in 2013 by the President of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation Jose Angel Rodriguez and Managing Director of Panorama Productions, Vicente Robles, which includes a large script of global interventions in spreading the sport of sailing.
