Santander 2014 has the "record" of involvement with more than 960 boats from 82 countries registered to date

The Sailing World Santander 2014  has launched its promotional trailer, a video of about a minute that features 'Sardi', which makes the journey from Sardinero Beach to the Bay of Santander.

The council of Santander, Iñigo de la Serna, has presented the trailer accompanied the Deputy Director of Sailing World, Jan Abascal, and artists Valerio Veneras and Lili Cabrera, parents of Sardi, designers and video through the sponsorship of Bergé company.

The trailer is a 2D animation in which 'Sardi' appears in its natural habitat, Sardinero beach, from where starts a "trip" to the Bay of Santander having "plenty of action" because it has to compete in a race to reach its destination.

In addition, throughout this journey, 'Sardi' "will pass landmarks of the coast of Santander" said Venegas.

To design the trailer, the artist explained that it was based on a "conceptual idea" for which it has used "minimalist backgrounds with colors Sailing World logo (blue, orange and white)."

But lifted up, the protagonist is always 'Sardi' with the goal of "reinforcing the idea and content of the trailer," which is digitally developed but has a "touch of watercolor and illustration" reminiscent of "cartoons classics of the 60s. "
