Important presence of the Emerging Nations Program in Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships

Countries like Peru, Qatar, Dominican Republic, South Africa, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Malaysia or Iceland will compete with the strongest countries and fight to get a place in Rio 2016

This is why the Emerging Nations Program was created with COI, National Olympic Committee of Olympic Solidarity, CEAR and RFEV help

Being in a World Cup is something every sailor dreams about. However not every country have the opportunity to part of this great event.

 This is why the Emerging Nations Program was created with COI, National Olympic Committee of Olympic Solidarity, CEAR and RFEV help. This project came up after Perth 2011 and continued in London 2012, now is  Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships, where it will consolidate.

 This is why during 2013, instructors, physical trainers, and doctors,  traveled to different countries to get in touch with the lucky athletes that will be part of Santander 2014. Countries like Peru, Qatar, Dominican Republic, South Africa, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Malaysia or Iceland will compete with the strongest countries and fight to get a place in Rio 2016.

 The Emerging Nations Program philosophy is to give a chance to all of them countries that has no budget to be part of the competition.
