RFEV is working hard to prepare every detail of the ISAF Sailing Worlds 'Santander 2014'

The Royal Spanish Sailing Federation strives hard to ensure the biggest media impact, national and international.  

Last Thursday, the President of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, José Ángel Rodríguez, attended several meetings at the highest level regarding to broadcasting and technical equipment for the Worlds.

Early in the morning, Rodriguez went to the headquarters of the Spanish public Radio and TV service, RTVE. The aim of the meeting was defining the terms of collaboration that the role of RTVE as media partner of the Worlds involves. As a result, a first agreement was reached on broadcasting through the Sports channel 'Teledeporte'. Now, the planning of the live broadcasts is being run. The direction of RTVE made clear that they are willing to collaborate with the Royal Spanish Federation. Thus, they were very receptive to the proposals of the President of the RFEV.

At the headquarters of the RFEV, José Angel Rodriguez met with specialists in streaming, with the aim to advance on the live broadcasting on the web. The goal is to broadcast competitions in every race course and the statements of the winners of the day. This service may be also available on other electronic devices, such as smartphones or tablets.

 Also on Thursday, José Ángel Rodríguez met with representatives of the Sports private platform 'Digital Plus-Prisa group', who expressed their unconditional willingness to broadcast all what will happen during the World Championships. Jesus Iribarren, on behalf of Digital Plus, said that the platform is highly interested in Sailing contents, and he even offered to launch a promotional spot for the event on their channels.

The President of the RFEV is working hard these days, given that the Worlds are approaching really fast and there are a lot of assignments to fulfill. That very afternoon, meetings continued on, this time concerning equipment , merchandising and pneumatics needed, among many other details. Quoting José Ángel Rodríguez , "This Thursday has undoubtedly been a very productive day for the sport of sailing and for 'Santander 2014'" .
