Opening Ceremony of FGC2013
The Opening Ceremony will be held in the Seaplane Harbour (Lennusadam) on Sunday, August 25 at 19.30-20.45.
We know that you have to start racing the next day, so we’ll try to keep it short to make sure you can get home at a reasonable time. There will be warm welcome speeches, performances by the beautiful and talented Estonian singer Liis Lemsalu (www.facebook.com/liislemsalu) and of course drinks and snacks.The main programme will start at 8 PM and before that you have a chance to look around in the architecturally unique Seaplane hangars. The Seaplane Harbour is a treasure trove of maritime history that hides incredible stories from above and below the water. Check out www.lennusadam.ee
Special double-decker tour buses to the Seaplane Harbour depart at 7 PM from the yacht club. After the ceremony buses will take you back to the yacht club every 15 minutes from 8.45 PM to 9.30 PM.

Accredited sailors and coaches are welcome for free. For entry, please remember to bring your FGC accreditation card.
If you have family or friends or unaccredited team members with you in Tallinn and they would also like to come, you can purchase tickets for them at the Race Office for 15€.

Presentation of the FGC 2013 Tallinn post stamp
WELCOME to the official presentation of the Finn Gold Cup 2013 stamp at Sailors Tent on Friday, August 23 at 12.00!
Estonian Post has created a special international stamp in celebration of Finn Gold Cup 2013 in Tallinn.
The author Mr. Indrek Ilves will present the Finn post stamp to Estonian Olympic Committee General Secretary Mr. Siim Sukles & FGC Race Director Mr. Ants Väinsalu.
Estonian Post will temporarily open a special mini post office at Sailors Tent on Friday at 12 only:
- You can buy Finn stamps and Tallinn postcards
- You will get the special “opening day” seal
- You can mail your greetings on the spot
The stamp costs 1.10€ and can be mailed across the world!
Please bring cash.
The mid-week barbeque event will be taking place on Wednesday, August 28 in the evening after the races in the Sailors Tent.
The award ceremony will be taking place on Saturday, August 31 starting from (but not before) 17.00.
The awards will be presented by Finn Olympic Winner Esko Rechardt (FIN), who won the 1980 Olympic Regatta in Tallinn.
The award ceremony will also include a performance by the DrumAttack girls.
The official after-party of the Finn Gold Cup 2013 will be taking place at night club Studio on Saturday night. The club opens at midnight.
All FGC sailors get free entrance with a special wristband. You can get your wristband on Saturday at the venue from social programme manager Stina-Sandra Rammo. Without the wristband the ticket is 10 euros.
Club Studio is located at Sauna 1 in the old town.
