Taxis

One of the reliable taxi companies we recommend is Tallink Takso with yellow or black taxi cabs. To order a taxi, call 1921 or + 372 640 8921. You will also receive special coupons from us, which will give you a 15% discount on Tallink taxis.

Closest taxi stop: in front of Pirita TOP SPA Hotel

Please do not confuse Tallink Takso with Tallinn Takso, which we do not recommend to take under any circumstances.

When using a taxi, please know your rights:

  • You have the right to choose any taxi from the taxi stand.
  • The taxi fares will be established by the taxi operator. There is no maximum limit on prices, so look out!
  • The passenger will pay for the trip according to the reading on the taxi meter.
  • The taxi driver is obligated to give a receipt from the taxi meter’s printer (definitely ask the taxi driver for a printout from the taxi meter at the end of the trip). In case the taxi meter and printer are broken the passenger has the right to refuse to pay.

Remember that you can use the Tallinn public transportation for free only with the Finn Gold Cup 2013 accreditation card.

Safety

Tallinn is generally safe but please follow these instructions:
There are pickpockets in the city centre, public transport etc, so please keep an eye on your belongings at all times.
Do not leave anything visible in the vehicle at any times.
Always double-check that the doors are properly locked.

On the water

If you are planning to rent a boat in Estonia, please remember that you are subject to owning the international certificate of competence for operators of pleasure craft (valid for sea and inland waters). This is carefully monitored by the water police.
While at water, every person on board an open craft is advised to wear a lifejacket.
