Friday 11 May 1800 hours – IFA AGM at the RCYC Marquee

Saturday 12 May 1830 hours – Opening Ceremony for the Gold Cup and Official Launch of the ‘Our Sporting Life for competitors, sponsors, and invited officials – Sail for Gold’ exhibition at National Maritime Museum. A celebration of our British Olympic and Paralympic Sailing Heritage

Wednesday 16 May 1900 hours – BBQ at RCYC free of charge for competitors, sponsors, invited officials

Friday 18 May – Closing Ceremony and Prizegiving and Party Events Square marquee – open to public. Fireworks at 2000 hours. Free of charge.

Saturday 19 May – Olympic Torch Relay in Falmouth (am) and themed Party in evening Events Square marquee. Free of charge.

St Austell Brewery will be providing Tribute Ale at special prices.

Food will be provided for competitors and registered coaches after sailing each day at the Watersports Centre.

It has been a week of extremes at the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Finn Gold Cup in Falmouth, UK and the final day was no different. Though a medal race was attempted, it was soon abandoned and an hour later racing was completely abandoned for the day as the wind disappeared. This left Ben Ainslie (GBR) as Finn World Champion for the sixth time. Ed Wright (GBR) took the silver while Jonas Hogh-Christesen (DEN) took the bronze.

Asset Management Finn Gold Cup in Falmouth, UK, after the wind spent most of the day spinning circles around the race committee. Three races will now be sailed on Thursday, to conclude the opening series, before Friday's medal race and final race.
